should i use 'user profile field'?? or what??

yes use a custom profile field len 1 and let them enter m or f ;)

i want to show it as a list (same hotmail and many others websites)
but the problem is that custom feilds use text boxs :|
then i will need to modtify register.php

well yes, then you have to edit register.php and relating templates

It says its for 2.0.0 but works fine on 2.2.7 therefore will work OK with 2.2.6 too :)
