user id# help
 

somehow my userdb got corrupted. I went through and one by one deleted the users/and then re-created the users. All works fine, except there are many missing id#'s i.e 6-141 are missing, when I try and take a user who was number 140 now is 1145 and through phpmyadmin change his number back to 140 it shows in the mysql database but not in the vb users list. Any ideas?
1). How do you change a userid# complete steps and how to get vb to recognize the new number in the users list.
2). Ultimatelly I'm trying to restore my postnuke user db. We use the registration system from vb, the user is properly added to vb, but it seems as I add more people more disappear from my linked postnuke db. any ideas?

if you edit the userid in usertable, you also have to edit the id in userfield table or vb wouldn't recognize the user anymore
