Password Error.....
 

Firstly, I have "Verify Email address in registration" function turned off since it does not work so well for some reason.

Now the problem I am having is...whenever a user register at my board, he/she will not be able to login with the password he/she has typed during the registration. The script keep saying that the password is invalid...when the password they had typed in was actually correct.

It is not only to ppl who want to register. Some existing members had this problem too....when they are logged out and try to login again...they get the password invalid error.

Finally, when they get this error and try to use the "email password to user" feature...they get no email (the sendmail of the server is working).

Oh btw, I am using vB 2.2.6 with some hacks installed. Hope you guys will help me out...since I am really tired of changing the members password again and again.

I would overwrite register.php with the original file and reapply the hacks changing it carefully and one by one to detect which one is causing the error

FFMania i will take a look into the file later on today when i get home from college :p i'll see if i can find any problems... if i can't well then i'll devise something to replace it ;) regards.. but you can heed Logician's advise first :)

There are a lot of hacks in register.php....and....there are too many hacks to be reapplied...(around 25) :(

okay FFMania i'll do a check up a little later today... shouldn't affect the forums except for ppl registering ;) can't promise anything but i will give it a shot :) regards...
