How do you MAKE a style?

I don't mean the graphics, that's not a prob for me, but how do you save it as a style file? Or MAKE it a style file?

Sue, do you want to change the colors of your current style or make a new one completely?keeping the purple one, and being able to select another style if so desired....i noitce you have the wonderful standard purple. please say you want to change that....

No I want to make a completely new one! I have 4 ideas for themes too, I just don't know how to do layouts and whatnot, along with saving it as a style.

you need to play with the templates... try www.vbulletintemplates.com for different looks for your site :D

I did get a couple things out of that, however, I am looking to make my own style too. This is what I'm asking about :)

Ok Sue,

go into your admin cpanel and pull down to the 'Style' section and click "Add Style". It will then ask you to name the style, and if you want to create a new replacement set and template set. Let it create, you can always change it later. Allow it to be user selectable.

Once it is created, click "fonts/colors/etc" to edit the style.

if you want the new style to use the same templates as your current style, click the 'properties' and change the template to default.

Hope that makes some sense to you...

yeah the admincp style section in conjunction with the templates are the two vital parts to understand when making a style... if in the admin cp where the style section is at if you go down to the listing of the banner and buttons you'll see a list of paths to the images folder... now within the images directory create a new folder and then replace all the image/ parts in the style section with image/{foldername}/ and that'll replace all the vbulletin default graphics with the ones that you make... i personally don't make my own styles i have my designer do that :) regards... hope that helps...
