Guest can see thread but can't open it, then it shoud get the reg window with.... you need to be reg. to open this thread.

Please tell me its already available as hack ??

After you enable access masks, you can configure if guests can reply/open threads or not for every forum in your board.. So you dont need a hack

Take a look at the "Quick Registration" hack by g-force2k2 here

what I want is :

Guest MUST see the thread ( so he get hooked / intrested )
HOWEVER when he want to go into a thread he gets a no permisson you need to register to see the post.

With the option in CP now I can only turn of the Thread view, so the guest sees a empty forum so not much info that makes you feel like register or gives you any clue about the content.

Can this code be changes a bit so you can do YES/NO in Use custom settings in the forum permission for the guest user ????

Admin CP integration requires time commitment. I suggest sticking with hard coding for such a small hack. If you cant manage to form your line, give your forum numbers to apply and we can help you to form your if conditional..
