Newbie who needs some help... !
 

Hello.
Today I purchased/installed my board :)

I'm new here, and although I do have one year of experience with EzBoard... I find it quite different..... here :)

Please bear with me and help me on some questions I have and that will be coming from time to time :(

Any help would be appreciated and sorry for my English - I will do my best :)

1) It sounds silly but how can I put the banner/main image, I have created... at my board?
I cannot find any "images" field at the admin cp!!

Furthermore, I want to put my image at the TOP - center of my board.... just like this VB.org has it - (and so many other boards...)... do I need a hack for this?

2) I don't like the width of my board... its too big and I would like to have "spaces" between the explorer edges and the forum edges...

how could I do this?

3) I have no idea how to change the background color of the forum... fonts, category colors , etc :(

4) I want to put images at the category and forums fields so that they will have a 3-D feeling.... like so many forums have... How can I do it?
And most of all... how do I create the image? I mean... will I make it as long as the category is, or just a small slice... that will be streched when I put it on the category field? (I hope u understand what I mean)

5) I'd like to have my board into a border like this board :

do I need a certain hac, or plain html? Any ideas on that?

A wise choice my friend ;)

In the Admin CP go to Styles -> Modify -> Fonts colors etc -> Title image path and change it to your logo.

On the same page as above and go to the large header box at the top and find this code in it:
and chage the alignment for it (note there won't be a space after the {)

On the same page again find Main Table Width and Contentable Table Width, these can be changed to the widths you want.

The same page again, you will see a section with lots of colours, change them there by putting the hex value in.

Make sure you press save changes at the bottom of the page when your done ;)

oh... the avatars I uploaded (some of them) are bigger than thesize I want.... I want them to be smaller when they show up.... like 50x50... so I go at the admin CP... Avatars---> Maximum Dimensions
Maximum width and height (in pixels) that the custom avatar image can be.

and I put 50....

but when i go into the board... the image is shown at his whole image :( (120x153)...

I do press save .... : :rolleyes:

why is this?

Thats the dimensions for custom avatars, not the ones you provide, you would have to shrink them yourself and re-upload them.

if they are .jpg there is a hack called avatar re sizer you can use to make them 50x50 or you could do it in photoshop or paint shop pro :)

I'm doing something wrong...

and saved but nothing is done... :tired:

What I would realy like would be to have the main image at the top-center... and the menu (user cd - register - etc) below the image - at the center too....

ok revert you header and footer templates first....

then use this templates mod by me to center you banner and buttons etc...

Add as many <br /> 's as required at the end of this line, that should do it ;)
