Password to register.

I was wondering if anyone could make a hack where an admin or mod can specify a password that must be used during registration.

My vBulletin board is very private and I would like a way to only allow people to register that know the password.

If there is already a hack or something similar to this please let me know.

Hmm, you can try this:

add a new custum profilefield in your admin-cp, and make it required for registration.

then open your register.php and find this:

      eval("standarderror(\"".gettemplate("error_requiredfieldmissing")."\");");

      exit;

    }

below add:

eval("standarderror(\"Password wrong\");");

exit;

}

replace the x with the profilefieldid of your pw field
not sure, but should work ;)

i would like a seperate page tho.

wouldn't want users to fill out all the info only to find that they need a password! =)
