First off, before saying anything, I'd like to appologized and thank the real SaintDog for heading down to one of the sites I work on and clearing things up. Without you man, I would have never known.
Ok, yes, there is a person or persons out there masking themselves as FireFly and SaintDog. The way it happened to me seemed quite odd. My story goes as told so pay attention.
Awhile back ago (Two To Three Weeks) I was on MSNIM. Doing my normal thing, I work and just let the IM go open to anyone who wants to say hi. I get an incoming warning of a
firefly_vborg@hotmail.com making buddies with me. I wondered, why the hell would Chen want to talk to me. Maybe it had something to do with a hack or something, I didn't know. Being my polite self I let this "Chen" be buddies with me and start up a conversation. The conversation was a normal "How are you?" and "What's up?" type deal. Then out of nowhere the "Chen" askes if he could, in his words, "You want me to hack your board up?". First off, why would Chen A., out of all people, who normally charges, want to hack my board? Like I said, it was odd. The next question felt quite the same, "Would you like a job on vBulletinTemplates?" This really grabbed me. Why, once again, would Chen A.(Not Even An Admin. Of vBT), want to give me a job on a board that isn't even his? As I recalled the board had belonged to SaintDog. I, thank god, said no to both unreal questions and backed out of the conversation to never hear from this "Chen" again.
About a day later I get another buddy warning, this time from a
saintdog111@hotmail.com. Now SaintDog, I can see him being more sociable, no offence Chen, and maybe would just want to talk. Being, once again, my good self I started a conversation with this "SaintDog". What really amazed me was the "SaintDog's" IM style. No offence to anyone from the ghetto but he had that ghetto, "Wut?, Wo, etc." type posting style. As I believe, the SaintDog from vBT had a more, formidable and unique posting style. I found his questions to be more odd and with a bit of a feel from the "FireFly". This "SaintDog" asked if I wanted a different template style and "just because he was bored" he would do it for free. That really freaked me out. I looked at his profile and his name was even the more odd. It said Mike. I thought SaintDog's real name was Jon or somewhere around that. I totally disregarded this persons questions with the answer "no" and made a reason to leave. I blocked the individual and I haven't seen this "SaintDog" since.
I was bored one day on one of my developing sites so I posted the wierd questions out of nothing at all. I then came back awhile later and found that the REAL SaintDog had been here, yes his name was Jon. He brought the whole thing back to me and I then knew that those two individuals,
firefly_vborg@hotmail.com and
saintdog111@hotmail.com were not the real Chen and Jon. So I am here to warn you that whoever is doing this is for hacking purposes. Take notice. Thank you. My regards,
