You have to update the RPG code to accept the differences in the vb user table like:
and second would be to either add the fields that are unique to RPG into the vb user table or create another table and alter the RPG code. |
where would i find all the code for the vBulletin user table???

What do you mean? You can view the database structure using phpMyAdmin.

I was having a long look at this... it is very doable, and should not be too hard to integrate - you only need to change a few lines of code here and there...
However, phpRPG is still BETA, and has lots of bugs. It's really a pre-released multiplayer RPG game based on php and mysql, and actually looks quite bad at the moment... Also, the bugs are bad enough that you wouldn't want to use it anyway. Refer to this review: http://multiplayer.com/cgi-local/review.cgi?ID=1503 I would wait until they release an alpha version (it's still labeled as pre-alpha), at least a version 1.0 (it just became 0.5 from 0.3). |
However, if you REALLY want to run it on your site, I can look at integrating it... but I don't think it's worth the effort and database changes... (you would have to modify vB too so that you can show the stats on vB).
Now, if you want to modify phpRPG so that it is better, then that's different. However, it's probably easier to code your own RPG hack then. |
just taking a few looks at some of the coding i don't really like it that much... i really don't see anything special about it and i certainly wouldn't intergrate this into my vb.... (just my opinion) i haven't even seen it in action... but i can see that it does have a lot of bugs already :p regards...
