urgent... how to turn off html in posts? according to one of my members...

they could hack in at any time and cause lots of problems... they decided to do all sorts of java tricks and let everyone in the community know that we have security issues.

i noticed that you cannot post html in these forums, is there something i am missing on my own so i can turn it off also?

they are saying they can link to txt files on their site and cause the same problems, as well as get all the admin info etc.

they aren't saying they will... just saying they could if they wanted to.

help please?

In the admin, go to vbulletin options and go to
[Posting Code allowances (vB code / HTML / etc)]

and turn off html there, there is an option.

hi drk,
all i see there is
Allow HTML in signatures?
which i have set to no...

they are saying they can do it through the main post area however and not just the signature...

am i missing something?
thank you very much.
