on/off gif on forumhome page

is there a hack which lets me use different icons for the on/off gif on the forumhome page category; i just switched it to a diff gif but now that icon is also used for used for user status.

i have searched and the only one i could find was one which lets you put diff icons next to category title. I am trying to use diff on/off gifs for categories on the forumhome page.

I´m very interested for this hack too.

Perhaps it is possible to change the existing hack in this way?

you can create your own gifs by creating new templates and calling them... if you need help with accomplishing this i will help ;) regards... i know that Xenon made a hack that allowed different icons per forum :p
