Major Problem - HELP!!!
 

Hi,

This is not really a php suppor question or help ... its more to do with my overall site....

Well im working on a site: http://www.battleboards.com

And ive installed a few hacks etc...

But last night a few of the members started getting "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" errors (but only a few)... i thought it was due to the microstats hack i installed last night... so i went ahead and uninstalled it...

Now all of the members except myself and also guests may i add are getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" errors...

Its only me who's not....

This is very strange and i need to find the solution ASAP as its quite a large site...

Probably nothing wrong with your board...

Renewing the domain-registration might help, though ;)

is that what the problem is ? where did you get that info from?

and how come i can still see the board?

That information is available through any whois-client, and the address is still cached in you machine.

Err, I would believe so, yes...
When the domain is expired, it is also dropped from the root name servers, which in turn makes it impossible to access unless you have configured your machine to use the DNS master or slave(s) for that domain. If this is the case, you'll never notice anything wrong yourself. Only people that are using other DNS servers will be unable to reach the site after the DNS entries time out in their cache.
