The Anti-spam craze
 

OK, I admit it - I get out of hand from time to time and post a bit unserious replies here and there.

But WTH is all this moaning about threads in the lounge? The Lounge's description clearly states 'Sit back in your lazy-boy recliner and chat away. Discuss anything related to vBulletin or life in general!'. It's an non-topic forum guys...

If someone starts a thread about dancing fruit there, then the closest thing to spammage I see are all those complaining that it is spam.

A bb creates a community, and this particular one has a pretty big strictly on-topic section - we should behave in there (yeah I know, we don't always do).

Just don't run around giving me BS about what I am allowed to talk about in the chit-chat section.

Get off your high horses for a while, will ya? The words 'wich hunt' comes to mind.

A thread full of nothing but various types of dancing fruit is spam. Its pointless, and the only real thing achieved by it is bumping your post count.

All I did was post my work of a dancing strawberry, I wanted to get comments on my animation skills.

but honestly... i think this forum should be allowed to post anything in... i find it amusing...

how can the amish virus thread not be considered spam also... 4 pages of bull....

things need to relax a little... maybe make a seperate sub-forum for talking about "ANYTHING"...

I guess if it is a forum for anything, might as well post anything. There should be two seperate post counts though if you ask me. The regular, and then, "the lounge" post count. ;)

Honestly i do think the spam is out of hand. Now im not one to be a stick in the mud, but there is no reason to have so many topics about > :banana: < that. It dosent bother me as much in the Louge as it dose in the webmail forum. Its not my forum, and i have no say in it, but that is my 2 cents.

Everyone and there 2 cents, did you know that so many people have been giving 2 cents alot, who ever is collecting this is very rich, with all these peoples 2 cents.

FYI, posts aren't counted in here anymore, and I was not referring to any closed threads, I was referring to certain individuals coming back time after time to complain about the same thread...

In stead of repeatedly posting about how spammish (new word?) people are being (which in itself could be considered spam, while we're first on the subject).

If the thread does not interest you, leave it the he|l alone...
Just don't read it...

No matter how you look at it, someone (read: the ones actually posting there) find moving fruit amusing, and we were discussing it in the lounge - also known as the discuss-everything-vb-or-not-vb-related-board.
