Avatar problem....
 

I have installed a few hacks on my friends forums, and the avatars stoped working for some reason, we cant link them, upload from our computer or anything, can some one please help me, i would like to try to learn how to fix it myself, so if i have to replace a file, or something please help!!!

You need to either:

1) Post a link

2) Post the error code (preferred).

Then someone can hopefully help you.

Umm...I doub't hacks will bother uploading of hacks, but maybe you can go through the vb options, and also try to think of which hack syou installed and tell us.

I am having the same problem.
I tryed to upload avatars from my pc using the "Add avatar" option in the control panel but it just shows a blank place-holder.
I also tried to it upload through the "Edit User" option and got noting.
Last, I went to the main site and tried to upload it from the client side.... This is what I got: "The uploaded file is not a valid GIF or JPG file. Please ensure that it is and try again". :bored:

I"m having this same problem..

I found out what the problem was.
My host had added some new security features to the server and it caused me not to be able to upload images.
I recomend asking your host about their permission settings for your account.
