Need help with a 2nd username
 

ok, I started this a while back, but so far have only gotten as far as the templates.

I've added a custom profile field for members to enter a specific user name, which will replace their default one in only 1 forum.

I can get it to work in the postbit, but not on the threadlist and forum home templates. I figure i's because all I know to use isd $post[fieldx]

I think Neo helped once but it didn't work and I can't find the old thread.

yeah heretic you have it right in the functions... but for the last poster and thread starter you have to edit the newthread.php and newreply.php to insert the the secondary username into the queries and not the first... if it uses userid to insert then you might have a problem ;\ hope that helps...
