Karma Hack v 2.0
 

After weeks of testing we finally decides to release karma v2.

Hope you like it. :D

Features

1. Admin

- Set points for each
~ newthread
~ reply
~ points for thread owner if thread's view exceeded certain number.
~ extra points to user from admin/mod
~ extra points for thread owner if the thread's reply more than certain number.
~ search members by karma points.
~ create redeem items for members to redeem when they reach have enough karma points.

- Admin/Moderator can also add/delete points to user who posts useful thread or nonsense.

- Admin can set auto ban feature to on or off. If this feature is set to on, users' karma points that
exceed the negative point admin set to, will be banned from posting or replying threads.

2. User

- User can comment on other people's post and if they agree that post, the user will get karma points
for that. If user disagree with what they post, their karma points will be deducted.
- User can earn karma points when they post new thread, replies, many people view their thread, many
people reply their thread.
- User can also earn karma points from administrator or moderator if they post useful thread.
- Their points wil be deducted if they post nonsense.
- User can view the highest karma points members to lowest points.
- User can redeem items when they have enough karma points.

Works great, but I really think there should be a function to set points for each forum. Like, Gen Chat is fun and all, but I'd rahter members get Karma by posting in the more "Forum Related Forums"...like my vB is about gaming, so I'd prefer members got Karma by posting in the gaming forums.

Edit: Also, just like with the last version, I can't change Karma amounts in the admin cp. I suppose I'll post this problem at your board as well =P

will this work with Lesane's store hack ?

and if i want upgrade 1.3 to 2.0 i just only upload all files and run

upgrade_karma.php am i right??

OK I am haveing a BIG BIG BIG problem with this hack I have had the previous version installed and it did the same thing I am not sure if I messed up installing or what BUT somthin is very wrong I uploaded a image to show you Certify if you will hlep I will make you a temp admin to see what is wrong

to upgrade from 1.3 to 2 just upload the upload all the new things where they belong and upload the up_karma.php file to your admin cp and run that BUT as for my problem I would like it to be fixed and I would love someone to help me with it

Hm... if I run install php the following happens:

I cant change anything there, its a shared hostet acccount. Any solution?

I have the same curiousity that Hypedave has...

whether or not this hack is compatible or even shared functionally with Lesane's Store Hack.

That issue seems to always be brought up. It wont work with his, to my understanding, because Lesane's has an integrated point system as I recall, although you could probably do some hard coding yourself to get it to work.

Also this karma hack already, according to it's description, has some sort of store in it. So why would you need 2 stores?

The hack looks interesting, but I'm passing on it for the same reason I didn't install the itemshop hack.
