An odd question...
 
OK... I have a small hack I'm developing....

But what I need to know is...

Is there any way to check the filesize of a file on a remote server, given a URL?

This is basically for images... where I want to make sure pics are within a certain size limit, and to treat them differently if they are.

I also need to check filesizes on SWF flash files

Is there any wya to do this?
