Question for vBuletin Admins

Where are all the great hackers at? The great ones looking to make some money?

I have been trying to get a hack project finished :tired: - I even went to Elance.

I lowered the difficulty too. I need just two extra pages in the user cp. One has resume details like experience fields displaying education and certifications and stuff like that and - the other has uploaded images.

Great program - I have found it to be respected by many programmers and even a bit threating.

My goal: learn PHP and be your next greatest contributer at vB. :) I know this interface can be a lot of fun and easy to play with if someone was really good with the necesary languages.

Are there books to optimize vB hacks. Has anyone printed a manual for PHP in regards to vB?

Do vB admins ever do 'unofficial' work for hire on the side? :nervous:

:frusterated:

Your idea or request might not be as popular as others, which is why it's not fulfilled.
Unfortunately vBulletin is not important enough (yet! ;)) to have books written about it. And as for a PHP manual, you have the best at ww.php.net (but don't try to learn from that site, doesn't work).

It doesn't?
Hmm, then I should mail everyone that installed my hacks and tell them to remove them, because I don't know PHP.

Uh-oh! What if my employer finds out I don't know PHP ;)

In that case Chen, I shall start immediately on a book!:)

The site works, but it's not easy to LEARN PHP from it. If you did, good for you. :)

I take it you know that I am just pulling your leg...

In that case, get off;)

I think someone should publish a "vB Hackers Manual."

It IS that important. Look at some of the boards. I bet if someone published it they would do very well.

Even better:

vBulletin 3.0 - THE ULTIMATE HACKERS GUIDE - your source to vB php and templates.

Yeah? :)

BTW,

Was mine not important enough - or is supply short of demand. It IS important to me.

I think we need more coders. And I will try - like I said, to learn it. Give me a few months though. ;)
