how do i get it so when i merge a thread, it goes on top of the other posts instead of the bottom?

as i know, the post become included in the thread in the right time order, not at top or bottom of a thread

but i dont want it by time, i want it on top

its not possible, because its just the thread-id which is changed in the posts when you merge two threads.

the displayorder is just used when you view the thread, but it is independent to the merging process.
you have just one possibiliti: you have to change the postdates in the merging process to an earlier date than the first post...
