I have certain writers that I have made moderators of hidden forums so they can automatically post their material up on the web page, works like a charm so far. One thing that I am wondering though is if I can keep them from having the moderator title? I know that I can go in and lock them in at a title, but I want to keep them on the same system where their title changes based on post count.
No big deal either way - I can always just go back in and change it manualy when they hit the next post count level. Just wondering if I can avoid that extra thirty seconds of work. |
why not just put them in a new registered users group with them having mod privileges (not made mods, but regular users with added forum permissions).

You can also go manually to that mod on control panel, and edit and change his title to Member or whatever you want!

I am going to have to look into this, but right now I have over 20 such forums that are for one person or a limited amount of people. Creating seperate groups for each person would take hours and hours. I think I will stick with the manual change for now. I am thinking I will just go with one title for them anyway - something like TuffSports Columnist anyways.
