great forum software to start off with :)

i was wondering if someone could please tell me how to add a background image on the category strip, what hack to use to show so many user browsing the forumlike on this forum it says (0 user browsing) and lastly how to add drop down box for moderators on the main forum page.....

i've looked around but couldn't find it :(

would be really appreciated if someone could tell me how to do these hacks
