How do I add a personal title?
 

This is what I want and I am sure its easy and I've just overlooked it but...

When you go into a thread and you see everyones avatar, registered, location, posts, etc......I want to add in another line into that section that is customizable for each member. Where would I do that at?

Note: I do not want to change the Member title thats already above everyones avatar......I want another field where I can add some customizable text in.

Create a new Custom Profile Field, make it only editable by the admin if you want, then add [minicode]$post[fieldX][/minicode] to the postbit template, X being the ID of the profile field you added.

Hey Firefly, thanks for the quick response. We did just as you said which worked (thank you) but now when we add text into this new field it won't appear on the threads. My new title appears, but whatever title I am assigning to the user wont show up, what now?

Can you please show a screen shot of a thread, and also explain exactly what you are trying to do? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by new title, and title. :)

Thanks for leading me down the right path, So far I am the only one who has begun using that personal title field, but I am sure my members will quickly jump in and add theirs to.

One othe question, do you know of a hack that would be fairly simple to add that will give me some vb stats. I looked at one but it required awhole lot of changes and php uploads. I'd like one fairly simple that would show like top thread maker, top poster, top referrer, member of the day etc......Thanks for the help
