Mods can ban from other usergroups
This was requested by neocivitas.
This lets your moderators, by permission, ban users other than those in the Registered usergroup. Even with this hack, they cannot ban admins, super mods, other regular mods, or themselves. Fairly easy, one query to run and two files to edit. Download the instructions from this post and have at it. No PMs, email, AIM, or ICQ about this, they will be ignored. |
not bad, ill do it later mabey

Great. Thanks.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. |
I know this is an old thread but does this work with custom made usergroups?
the reason I ask is because I just installed this and it still won't allow banning of members in anything other than the registered usergroup I didn't see anything in the admin panel to allow or disallow permissions on that either. All my mods are supermods....could that be it or is it because I am not a mod and am trying it from the mod panel? |
you could try my mods can edit users hack, thery you can say which usergroups can be edited (move to another group..)
|
thanks...I already found that solution.
thanks again |
The hack is good, but no fit to use in the new VBB 2.3.0,can you fix this to fit in VBB 2.3.0?
Thanks. |
I'm confused. Does that mean that with this hack it doesn't allow supermods to ban users in a custom usergroup?
|
Little question: is there some kind of activity log in this hack? I´d like to know who bans who, to avoid mod abuse.
Thanks! |
