i was wondering if someon can provide some pointers in how to go about doing this

for one thing, no matter what, you well still need to use the database to store the links of where the avatars are (just my 2 cents ;))

Yes I know that. That's why i want the hack to auto-place the url into the users profile so that they dont have to do it themselves (ie click on a radio button and the URL to that avatar will show up in their options) That's with all "off site" avatars anyway.

So any ideas on how to start this hack?

geez man, stop trying to bump it, maybe if you be more clearer and not post a link to some other place, then maybe someone can help you out faster that, plus people here have other stuff to do, and doesn't have much time, so stop bumping ;)

Bumping every few days is not against the rules. Bumping excessively in one day is. I made it clear in the other thread. Why post it twice?

or for your benefit:

Want to host avatars on a remote server (outside my domain)
Want Vbulletin via user cp options to get a list of avatars from the remote server and list them as they normally do if I had stored the avatars in the DB.
Instead of posting the location of the avatar from the DB, I need the script to post the URL to the actual avatar on the remote server and place it in the USERS custom avatar field for them (so if they choose an avatar from the list and on my server its http://myremoteserver.com.ips/avatar.gif, need that URL to be placed in the URL field under Custom Avatar)
Then when user presses submit, the AVATAR is now their avatar.

Easy to understand?
