2 Questions

This has problably been asked amillion times so I apologize. :)

I was just reading a post covering both of the following topics, but It wasn't as clear as I would have liked so I thought I would re-hash in my own words.

Question 1: I want to add a space between forums on the Forum Home so I imagine its a {br} after a {/tr} in one of the forum display templates, but alas there are sooo many, and I am sooo rookie.

Question 2: There was a thread awhile back on how to add graphics and/or gradient or repeating graphic bg in the category bars.

Could someone please explain the procedure, or direct me to the thread?

Thanks in advance. :)

Cheers.

okay I figured out the bg thing...np there. Now the space between forums....What I think I want to do is make each category(with its subcategories) act as a separate forum...if tht makes any sense. Anyway the layout would be somthin like this:

-----------------------------------------------
{Category Title}
-----------------------------------------------
Forum
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------
Some Space +++++++++++++++++
-----------------------------------------------
{Category Title}
-----------------------------------------------
Forum
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------
{Sub Forum Title & Description}
-----------------------------------------------

For mine, I closed the table entirely and then opened it again so the border isn't on those spaces. Like if you look at the forum home here, it has that.
