Best Hacks to Install ?
Although different people will obviously have different opinions here due to the functionality that people like on their boards, but I just wondered whether anyone can suggest the most popular hacks that people apply.
I notice that there are many hacks posted but a lot of them don't appear to be for 2.2.4 that I'm running. Is it safe to install a hack that was written for say 2.2.1. Apologies for the newbie type questions, I'm new to vB :D |

The best practise is to examine the hack's thread and most of the times you'll find an explanation there. However I can say that most of the times you'll not have any problems with say a hack labelled v.2.2.2 if you install it to 2.2.3, 2.2.4 or 2.2.5. According to me chances are 98%! :) Regards, Logician |
You should always test the hack on your testboard before applying it to your production board.
I always keep at least two testboards on my workstation. One being a spitting image of my production version, and one being a 'clean' install. That way it is easy to determine the reason for any problems. |
