Pconnect vs Connect
 

Has anyone here created any hacks using pconnect instead of connect? I really need to know because on my host pconnect is causing a lot of problems since the connections aren't closing after use and it keeps crashing the mySQL.

If anyone has used pconnect in their code, could someone tell me how to fix it. I assume there's more to it than just remove the "p". Don't you have to put a close connection tag as well?

Try sticking mysql_close() in functions.php's dooutput() right before it echo's the data.
