What About Old News?
 
I have been using NewsPro/Coranto for years and really like the script. However development has pretty much tanked and I've dug much deeper into vBulletin and with Pluhnews, there's just no need for it anymore.

However, there's one item that I can't seem to figure out and I'm hoping someone here can help. How Do I Import/Post Old News?

I have in some cases, several YEARS of news that's been archived in NewsPro. Is there anyway to import them into vBulletin? Since the archives are basically plain text flat files, I'm even willing to post them manually into the board, but how to do you post with an old date?

If I post a news item from November 1999, it's going to say today's date when I post it.

What about doing an import any MySQL? Anyone ever imported old posts this way?

Yeah you could probably do an import with mysql and configure the dates to your linking :) thats what i would do ;)

You can install my more Function in Editpost if you are an Admin hack. It allows the Admins to change the Date of a posting :)
