Mandatory Age Requirement
 

by law for my site i can not allow anyone under 18 to post on my forum well i want to make it a required field when u sign up and when edit your profile is it a hack for this? if not can someone make it for me?

Ummm.. well why dont you just put that in your sign up agreement.. there are easy was to get around it unless you put in a creadit card approve thing

Yeah - there is nothing stopping them from signing up and "claiming" to be 18 when they really are not, unless, as said above by Neo, you require credit card validation.

it's already in my sign up agreement... i can not stop them from lying i jusy want to make the birthday field a requirement? how do i do that?

I use the system in my board.

I didnt touch the birthday field (it is still optional) but I created another user profile field which is required for age and applied this hack to force numeric (and relevant) entry for the field.
