something tells me that with vb's sql back-end this is more or less easy

is it possible instead of showing in forumdisplay the thread of the last 10, 20, etc days to show the last 10-20, etc threads?

in a not so active forum it means that more threads would be shown and there would be more chances for someone to make a reply on an old thread(the user would not have to change the date setting to go back and see more threads from that forum)

I'd be interested too. Not necessarily for the forum display but for use on non-vb pages. I took a snippet of code out of these forums to display the most recent posts from the current day on a non-vb page. I'd rather have it display the five last posts.

Both of these issues must have a very similar solution. Any help?
