I was seaching vb org for an old thread the I made and wished ther was a way to just list just the threads I've participated in. I looked at forumdisplay.php and found that it would be real easy to list just the threads that I started. not exactly what I wanted but plenty cool enough.

this hack adds a "View Just My Threads" link under the "Subscribe to this thread" and "Mark Forum Read" links. if you click it, it will relaod the forum display page with just your threads and the "JustMe" link will change to a "View Everyon's Threads" link.

Install is easy. 1 edit, 2 templates, and 2 template edits.

If anyone thinks of a clean way to include threads you've replied to as well, please let me know. Edit - Thanks for pointing out the search specific forum by username, display as threads to accomplish this.

Can't you just go to search and enter username, and display threads?

you know the wierd thing is I did that here and not all of my threads showed up. I have no idea why. anyway, this is quick and I wanted it. :)

Isnt this the same as the little search symbol next to your username on this forum?
Click it and it displays all the posts you have participated in and is simple edit of the postbit template....

Not really.

yes you could do a search for posts by yourself in a paticular forum and have them listed as threads, but it shows all threads you've posted in, not just the ones you started. besides this is easier.

This tiny 1 edit hack, just limits the forumdisplay page to just threads started by you. it's like a forum filter.

This is just a simple refresh of forumdisplay tho - on a user-friendly level, it's perfect! I'll have a closer look at the hack later - thanks! :)
