vb.org Archive - hack screws up table spacing.. how do I fix..

ok,

for my websites top graphics, we have these graphics right.. and in order for them to display correctly we had to remove the "marginheight=10" and the other such tags form the <body> to make the image cling to the corner of the page and not have a spacing.

Here is my question. I dont want the table for the forum to cling to the page.. so I made the width 98% instead of 100% to get the affect of the 10 spaces..

problem is, I installed that avatar hack thing.. and somewhere its screwing up.. because the avatar part has a width of 98%, but the rest of the forum doesnt.

Included is a pciture to help you understand. Please tell me what to do and change in order for the rest of the tables be be 98%
