How to uninstall hacks?
 
I have a bunch of hacks installed that I don't use, these hacks had created tables in MYSQL database and I was wondering what is the best/safest way to delete them from my database without any chance of damaging anything.

Should I just go into MYSQL and delete these tables by hand and do I need to run a repair script afterwards or can I just delete them and not worry about it.

I am a little shaky on messing with the database (don't want to mess it up)

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just dropping the tables will be fine. But please, please be sure with what you delete. Make sure you backup your database before, to be on the safe side.

Hi,

I would[list=1][*]Lock my forum[*]Backup my database[*]Backup my forum files[*]Do the same steps backwards that I had to do to install the modifications[/list=1]
If it doesn't work you can set up the database (backup) again and upload the old files.
