user can close threads, but not open
i have a request, other people have problems with the users opening threads closed by a moderator or an admin, i was wondering if there was a way so users can close a thread, but not open it...
this will help with other users being off topic and the thread maker can close it if needed |
Hmm...
I am not sure whether what I am thinking will work, but I shall give it a shot... I'll post it when I can confirm it is real php, not just some crazy notion in my head...:) Satan |
It shall be posted tommorrow, as I have to log off now...
If noone else has posted by then, I shall post it up... Satan |
Why would you want your users to have the power to close threads? You can get every thread in your forum locked by a troll or a spammer.
|
only by the forum starter, this way if the thread is getting off topic, a user can close it... stops the middle man because
user > report > mod > close instead of user > close |
any luck?
|
None so far...
Ive tried a few codes, but they either seem to do nothing, or come back as Parse Errors... Satan |
well, i hope you get it done soon :squareeyed:
