There is about 600 lines of PHP behind this that does stuff that vBulletin doesn't. Some of it only applies when you register, but its pretty neat. Some parts aren't done yet, just FYI. Its still in beta.

THat includes the "there are 5 people here/near" the whole top display, visual history display, chat room integration with IRC, dynamic menu loading, different templates for forumbits when there are new posts, etc, etc, etc.

Not a template went untouched...mostly.

We aren't done yet. This is a piece of a very large site in development. Well, murmurs.com exists, but its growing :p

Just thought I'd share.

Well, that was useless. But anyhow...I sped up all queries and added caching engines to everything. I also added the ability to see who was browsing threads from the main thread index.
