nothing to say:
just vbulletin integation with indexu. user info goes into indexu: * user registration * add/delete/prune user in admin section note: indexu uses non md5 hashed passwords. tested on vb 2.2.3-2.2.5 and indexu 3.0.0-3.0.4 |

nice hack thanx

thx, it works fine for the purpose you described in your first post.
in your forums you say you moved all users from vbulletin to indexu. how did u do that? did u tell indexu to use md5()-passwords? if u had managed that, i would be really interested, as storing plain text passwords in database tables is a little bit outdated i think... greets kreftt |
its impossible to convert md5->plain psw's (as for now).
i changed indexu, so it uses not plain, but md5 hashed psw's. |
thats exactly what i meant.
i wouldnt even think of integrating a security hole by opening another... any chance you might tell me n00b where the places in indexu are to change the functions? tia kreftt |
help! I admit it - i know nothing about php... but I had the tech who installed indexu for me install this hack and it isn't working. Our site is set to open in 2 days and I wanted indexu and vbulletin to work together so that they only have to register in one place.
It isn't working and he can't seem to find the problem as all looks like it was done right. Any ideas???? Oh - these are the versions being used: IndexU is 3.04 and vBulletin is 2.26 |
