Two things Need Help on
 

I'm a noob to the whole web dev thing.
I run a server and web site for my DAoC Guild, and I have had some requests.

#1) does anyone have a home page that shows a thread from the forums? like an announcement thread.

if so how is it done easily, I'll use frames if I have to but I would rather another way.

#2) and, We are currently useing Discus forums and I find it rather limited so Viola! were gonna switch to Vbulletin I need to get as much as I can from the old forums to Vbulletin, I've seen a few for moving from ikonboards, ect. to Vbulletin but I did not see anything for Discus to Vbulletin.

Help! I don't want to put the members of the guild though another change were they have to register again, and it would be very cool to move the threads over.

as for your first question there are a lot of nice "news" hacks in this site which do exactly what you want. I suggest you searching keyword "news" in full+beta hacks section..
