Messed up time stamps / un-ordered posts
 

Last night the server this site (and vBulletin.com) uses was misbehaving and the time on it got wrong for some time. I think it's fine now.

So anyway, that explains the weird post oders in some threads. Sorry! :)

I experienced the same thing with my own server a few days (actual replies showing up above the thread starter's first post. :P

I searched vbulletin.org for other users having the same problem, as I first though it was my 3 am hacking attempts was the cause, but this sounds more rational (as we've had some server problems the last few days).

Kind of funny though. :D

i know this bug very good, have had it very often at my old host.

chen can you tell me why posts are ordered by date and not by postid?
because if ordered by postid such problems wouldn't happen anymore

Because some older versions of MySQL fill the gaps in auto_increment ID's, so if you had posts 1, 3 and 4, and someone posts, the new post will be 2.
