Just a silly question?
Can you appoint a user a moderator, super moderator or administrator or take a user off being a mod, super mod or admin without doing it thru the admin cp...
The idea of this is if you appoint someone admin who you can't trust you will still have access to your php files on your host (or server) ... and you will be able to take them off and put yourself back on ... Can it be done and if so how ? |
Making someone a admin on your site doesnt give them access to your files on your server unless you give them that information. And you shouldny hire admins / smod/ mods you dont trust.

no no ... this is the scenario ...
u appoint a user admin ... and they take you off admin ... can't you appoint yourself admin again outside the admin cp??? |
there is a small hack to stop anyone but you from editing the main admin.. which is you.
|
If you have access to phpmyadmin you could edit your usergroup in the database back to admin.
Not sure all what you need to do... |
