Watch me Work

I am in the process of building a CMS that ties to VB, since the lack of information and communication about upcoming products for VB drives me nuts. People are welcome to come visit at http://www.bobcosta.com/bcportal/

My best guess is that it is about a 3-5 week project if I can get some time off form work to focus on it.

Uh, you are aware that Jelsoft is working on a CMS that will tie seemlessly into vB 3.0, right?

P.S. John Galt is a character in one of Ayn Rand's novels - Atlas Shrugged or Fountainghead, I forget which one. The phrase 'Who is John Galt'?" was used in the novel to signify a question to which no one has the answer to.

Do I win a prize? :p

Jelsoft drives me insane. Where can I find out what is coming in version 3? When will it be out?

I started looking at vBulletin back at version 1. I needed a bunch of features that I learned would be in version two (like voting, thread ratings, etc). So I waited and waited, and finally they were available.

But I lost momentum and enthusiasm for my project while waiting. I ended up changing jobs, so I did not have time to do anything on it for almost 8 months. Now I have some time again to move it forward.

The lack of information about upcoming version features is an absurd approach to what I assume is a business for Jelsoft and not a hobby. Then again, maybe there is a page called "Version 3 features" and I just have not found it. [rant deleted, don't get me started]

So where can I find out teh what and when about version 3? I tried some searches of the forums here, and got nothing useful.

There are quite a number of thread on vbulletin.com discussing vB 3, including many hints of new features from the developers. Sorry that's there's no neat organized list of features yet, but it's still too premature to list the complete feature set.

Thanks Steve,

I didn't uncover much that was really useful to me there. I think I am just gonna proceed on my own until I have some definite clue that the mythical JelSoft solution will meet my needs. Seems a shame though.
