Viewing threads, last 24 hours

Anyone know how to exclude a forum(s) from the search result when the user clicks the "view new posts/threads" search result?

There are a few forums that are either private or forums that I just don't want included in that result. I would like the count to reflect all forums though, but can live without that if necessary.

Anyone?
