Feeling like a lamer...

Hi.
I'm pretty new to the whole hack-biz, and I'm trying to download my first hack (the quick-reply box).
Either I get the invalid attachment message, or I get the "No permission" message.

Just to get it straight from the start: Yes I have paid for my license. :)

Can anyone please help me get a hold of the quick reply box?

You need to enter you licence number in your profile..

Umm...
Yeah. I did that. And now I see, I haven't any probs with anything else on the boards.
Could it be that the link is bust?
If so, could anyone direct me to the hack?

This is the message i got:

All right.
Thanks a bunch, Mr. President.
Now, to advance on stage in troubleshooting;
I can't seem to find the line of code specified first in your hack. Is this perhaps because I run 2.2.4. or shouldn't there be a prob.

What I've basically done is enter the edit template section of my admin CP, and found the template called showthread.
Still, I can't locate the first bit of code in your explanation.

Nevermind the last post.
Think I'm closer now...

Ok...
I'm definitly getting there. :)
I messed it up royally, so that the browser couldn't find the page at all.
Ouch.
Then I managed to fix it, but with the result that my quick reply-box is now at the top of the page...

?

How do I fix it?

(BTW. The box is a great hack. Even makes me try and conquer my fears of messing with php-code)

Place the $replybox variable in the showthread table after the last comment, not first. :)

Once again; Thank you Mr. President.
I am now entirely happy with my brand new Quick Reply Hack.

:)

No probs. :)
