Someone please explain this to me...
 
Ok I'm getting very confused with this "New quote/PHP box hack"...

I know that there is something wrong with it so where you can't use it in 2.2.4 unless you do something else. And if you do that something else, then yet another thing happens.

Can someone please explain to me what the deal is? I'd like to use it, but not if it's going to cause problems. Thanks! :)
