Forumdisplay: text below thread title ?

Hi, is it possible to have the XX first caracters of the message below each thread title in forum display ?

We are going to use a vbulletin as an article system and would like this feature.

There exists a hack to do something similar to this (in fact, I wrote it with a little help ;) )...
