Post Header v1.0

A friend of mine made this hack. The idea came from the Acmlm board(http://acmlm.overclocked.org/board), a custom message board with many unique features.

The postheader is just like the signature, but it displays at the top of the post instead of at the end. So you can have it change the font color, add images, text, links, etc.
It may not be the most advanced hack, but I think some people might enjoy it.

Anyways, it is attached and I hope you enjoy my friends cool hack.

Well, the file wouldn't update so I'm posting again with the new attachement.

Seems there are still some issues, but he is working to fix them.
They are:
Adding it to admin user edit
and VBB code replacement...

vB Code replacement would be easy, wouldn't it? Instead of adding this...

PHP Code:

//  $postheader=htmlspecialchars($bbuserinfo[postheader]);

...add this...
PHP Code:

//  $postheader=bbcodeparse(htmlspecialchars($bbuserinfo[postheader]));

Ok, I will tell him that. He added the admin panel addition, too. I just need to get the updated file.

Edit: Everything should be working now, admin stuff included.

4 what can i get this hack?

neal 03-08-2002 08:36 PM

What exactly does this do?

Vivi Ornitier 03-08-2002 11:06 PM

A post header allows you to add a background to your post or anything else that you may like, the options are almost endless, there are some really cool things. just check out http://acmlm.overclocked.org and look at some of the post there and you will see what I am talking about ;)

I am still having one problem though, it seems that it doens't convert text :`(

I think this is a cool hack, but damn.. it looks really annoying if everybody has the freedom to apply this .. very weird to read a normal thread. But maybe that is just me.
