When you purchased vBulletin you recieved an e-mail containing your customer id and password.

I'm sorry, that's not possible. You must purchase a vBulletin license first and then you are entitled to vBulletin and all the hack available here at vbulletin.org. BTW this site isn't greedy, it is for users who have paid for vBulletin (vBulletin isn't expensive compared to the other BBs).
