I'm pretty new with vbulletin. I've been messing around with the different permissions and access masks and I can't seem to get it to accomplish what I need. So far the only method of permissions completely *HIDES* those forums if they don't have access. Is this the only way to accomplish private forums?

I would like to be able to show all forums on the main page, but only those users that have access can actually click the link and go into the forums.

Looking for things like..

• locked icon on forums from main page of those forums the user doesn't have access to
• "You are not authorized to enter. Login or Register" message if they try to click.. or maybe make those links inactive entirely"
• Users that don't have access can still see # of posts/replies, they just can't get in.
