I'm finally going to upgrade my boards, but I need to ask a question first. How can I upgrade my boards without changing too many things?

I have around 15 different style sets already, and lots of 2.2.0 or older hacks installed, so it would be a pain to redo all of that again. Either way, I might be able to survive without the hacks for now, but I still need some advice for it.

Edit: I read the instructions, but it's still not clear if I should renew the config.php info for instance (database stuff). Should I just overwrite that too?

You don't need to do anything with config.php. However you might want to compare config.php.new with your config.php file to see if there are any additional options you want to add.
