Hello, I plan on buying vBulletin but I want to use vB 3.0. My question is if I buy 2.2.2 (or whatever the latest version is when you read this) and hack it up like mad with hacks from this database, will it be easy to upgrade to 3.0 or will there be major problems. I've heard 3.0 includes some major changes so I want to know if the current hacks will even work on the version? I guess my main question is should I buy now and hack it up, then upgrade to 3.0 or wait untill 3.0 comes out to buy. Thanks

As far as I know, if you upgrade you will have to reinstall all the hacks. :( One of the downsides. But, since no one knows (or I don't anyway) when V3 will be out, it might be good to go ahead and get things set up now so you will be familiar with it. Just an opinion, though. ;)
