On my board, pdaclub.nl/forums - a Dutch Palm User Group, we have defined custom field5 for the PalmOS handheld model they currently own. In my postbit this would list as:

With the help of this hack we made a list of all available PalmOS pda's currently available, so users simply choose their model from the 'Edit Profile" page. This custom field is helping is greatly in giving every user the support they need based on the Palm they own (so all other users know exactly which OS it runs, if it's color or grayscale etc etc)

I'm telling you all this, because I think this would be a very nice option for vb.org! Let users select and modify in their profile which vBulletin version they own, from all versions available and have it then displayed in their postbit. This way all other users are able to give the support targeted at that specific users vB-version. For example, I could say: 'no Firefly, this hack is for vB 2.03 only and you have vB 2.2.1'. You get the picture, methinks :supwink:

Also, I'm asking this with another purpose, and that's a specific feature that I as of today am not able to hack :frus:
I'd like (and I think it's a nice addon to vb.org too) a list of how many users have which pda and which user has which pda (kina like the Who's Using Which Style On One Page hack. If you code this list for vb versions and release it as hack, I'd be more than helped! :p

Not really, no. It's just that I don't think it wouldn't be much of an interest to know how many users are using which version, don't you think?

You can just use a SQL query whenever your curious...

I don't think I will ever be, I've got bigger concerns. ;)
